SUMMARY The Casino Porter is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order of the Casino.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Clean and polish lighting fixtures, solid surfaces and trim. 2. Clean hallways, lobbies, lounges, corridors, stairways and other work areas. 3. Sweep, vacuum and mop floors. 4. Shampoo carpets and spot clean chairs. 5. Clean restrooms and replenish supplies. 6. Wash walls, ceilings, woodwork, windows, door panels and sills. 7. Empty waste baskets and ash trays. 8. Transport trash and waste to disposal area. 9. Replenish bathroom supplies and replace light bulbs. 10. Assist in promotion and events set up and tear down. 11. Clear snow and ice in inclement weather conditions. 12. Meet attendance guidelines by reporting to work as scheduled with dependability and consistency. 13. Promote and encourage positive customer relations. 14. Represent the company in a positive manner. 15. Maintain professional dress standards and personal appearance as dictated by the policy manual. 16. Other duties may be assigned. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position has no supervisory responsibilities. QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Class II Gaming License issued from the Skokomish Tribal Gaming Commission. PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Work at various heights and be able to access any reasonable portion of the property. 2. Stand, walk, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. 3. Work may be performed in outside weather conditions, including rain, cold and heat. 7. Possible exposure to chemicals and/or elements present in cleaners, agents, pesticides or other hazardous chemicals. 8. Typical of that in a busy casino with heavy cigarette smoke accompanied with a variety of competing noises and communications. 9. Flexible hours (weekends, nights, holidays). The Skokomish Gaming Commission shall not License for any Person who:
Is under the age of 21;
Has been convicted of, or entered a plea of no contest to a gambling offense, theft, embezzlement, fraud, or misrepresentation; unless 7 years have passed since the offense and the person is a member of a federally recognized Indian tribe who has been determined by the Tribe to be a person who is not likely again to engage in any offensive or criminal course of conduct;
Has been convicted of or entered a plea of guilty or no contest to any other offense related to honesty, violence, or drugs; this provision shall not apply if that person has been pardoned by the Governor of the State where the conviction occurred or if a member of a federally recognized Indian tribe has been determined by the Tribe to be a person who is not likely again to engage in any offensive or criminal course of conduct, and the public good does not require that the applicant be denied a License as a Key Employee or Primary Management Official; or
If the Commission determines that the person has participated in organized crime or unlawful gambling, or is a person whose prior activities, criminal record, reputation, habits, and/or associations pose a threat to the public interest or to the effective regulation and control of Gaming, or create or enhance the dangers of unsuitable, unfair, or illegal practices and methods and activities in the conduct of Gaming, or to the carrying on of the business and financial arrangements incidental to the conduct of Gaming.
